After the departure of Kyle Walker, Tottenham can now look into the transfer market. Gaining a hefty fee in the region of £50m from his exit, the North Londoners now have the leverage to improve their squad depth, which was the aim before the window had opened.
According to (Di Marzio) Tottenham have made an approach for AC Milan playmaker Suso, after an impressive campaign with the club. Sky Sports Italy also claim that Milan are reluctant to sell the Spaniard, who has two years left remaining on his contract.
Since his move away from Anfield, the winger has blossomed in a young, promising Milan side. After years of mediocracy, the Italian club have looked to turn things around after being extremely active in the transfer window. Additions such as Leonardo Bonucci and Ricardo Rodriguez indicate that the new owners are looking to take down Juventus and go back to winning silverware.
It has been reported that Mauricio Pochettino is a big admirer of the right winger, and is heavily pursuing him to allow Tottenham to be able to compete in the Champions League next season. Many links are circulating around White Hart Lane suggesting the sale of Erik Lamela to Inter Milan, as Suso’s playstyle is somewhat similar to the Argentines. Suso is supposedly not pushing a move away from Italy, as Spurs are lining up a £19 million bid for the player.
